Every year, during the second half of March, the town of Ruse hosts the International Festival "March Music Days" . The festival was founded in 1961 and is one of the oldest international music forums in Bulgaria.
The Festival attracts many Bulgarian and foreign musicians from different parts of the world, maintaining the glory of Ruse as a great musical and cultural center and one of the cultural capitals of Bulgaria.
In its long-last history, the festival has seen hundreds of premieres of new Bulgarian and foreign music, lots of works, created especially for the fete, and many outstanding performances and lasting artistic contacts.
