The first edition of the Festival of ice sculptures in Ruse ("RUSE ICE FEST") was held in 2014. The organizers' ambition is it to become an annual event and every edition to grow in popularity.
Among the participants are sculptors from different countries. They have one huge block of ice (1x1.5 meters - 130 kg in weight), which by the end of the festival, they has to mod his work.
The crystal ice is made by a special technology that keeps it fully transparent and is environmentally friendly.
During the festival there will be open a special ice bar, where winemakers from the region will promote their products.
For the good mood of the kids and their parents there are organized also concerts, ice games and children's entertainment.
