Sand Sculptures Festival (July)

The Sand Sculptures Festival is held annually from 2008 in city of Burgas. It begins in early summer (July) and the sculptures remain open for visiting throughout the summer. The sand shapes are located in the Burgas Park "Ezeroto" ("The Lake") in the Sea Garden. Though it is young, the festival attracts many Bulgarian and world-renowned international artists.

Among the sculptures can be seen castles, towers, marine animals, mermaids, pirates, fairy creatures and more. Some of sculptures reach a height above 8 meters. For the models is used about 2500 tons a special-resistant rain sand.
