Transfiguration Festival "Beyond the Threshold" (August 2015)

The multi-genre Transfiguration Festival will be held for the first time between 6 - 9 August 2015 in the village of Dolen. The goal is to get visitors to leave their usual and urban vanity and have a touch to the spiritual, merge with the purity of the mountain, feel of Bulgarian spirit, meet with the sounds, the beauty and colors of the Balkans. 

During the festival there will be two scenes - large amphitheater and a smaller one, located at each end of the village, over the Bezimenna River. The scenes are made of natural materials - wood, stone, clay, in order to fit the natural environment of the architectural reserve Dolen. There will be separate dining areas, stands with alcoholic and soft drinks, children's playground. There is provided also place for tents (camping area) and parking which will be free for ticket holders. 

The festival program includes music sessions, workshops and movies. Among the musicians are groups and DJs from Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece, and artists such as Theodosiy Spasov with the electro-ethno machine Balkansky, the ambient-ethnic group Isihia, the alternative rock performers Smallman, "Villagers of Ioannina City" (Greece), the magical Irfan and the ethno project "Kaino Yesno Slontse"... 

During the festival will be done the premiere of the documentary "This is Bulgaria" (full HDD Format). The film will show some of the most beautiful, strange and mystical places in Bulgaria, filmed more than three years from land, air and water.
