House-museum Yurdanovata kashta
The house-museum "Jordanovata kashta" is located in the village of Marash (Shumen region). It is a 2-storey construction built in 1883. It was home of the largest, 12-member family of grandfather Yordan, from where house name origin. Nowadays the house is transformed into a unique ethno-museum.
The house is built in typical style for its time - 50-60cm wide walls by clay, wooden roof, wooden pillars, wooden stairs and a long "sachak". Visitors are able to see how the house and the separate rooms had looked at the end of XIX - beginning of XX century. They can see the agricultural barn shed and tools, weaving, the room for rest and meals, living room, cellar, etc.
