History Museum
The Historical Museum in town of Pazardzhik was founded in 1911 by the Management Board of the local community center Videlina. The museum traces the rich history the Pazardzhik region from the ancient times until today. Special attention is given to the role of the Pazardzhik in development of Bulgaria during the Renaissance and the National liberation struggles. There are also exhibits from Prehistory, Antiquity and The Middle Ages, objects, documents and articles related to recent and modern history of the city and to prominent people from Pazardjik.
Part of the collections in the museum are: "Clothing", "Fabrics, "Incunabula","Weapons and accessories", "Public and political life after the liberation", "Commemorative medals" and others.
The historical exposures of Pazardjik Historical Museum are disposed at area of 1200 m2. in a specially constructed for the museum needs building. The Ethnographic exhibition is located in a house (declared monument) in a Renaissance Baroque style, built in 1850 bu masters from Bratsigovo. This is the largest building in town from that time.
