Museum of nature and science
The Natural History Museum of Belogradchik is located in the park area of the town. This is the only museum of this kind in North-western Bulgaria. Its exposition contains 520 exhibits, while the total fund is 3000 objects related to the flora and fauna of this region of Bulgaria.
In the museum are exposed photos, models and figures of animals. There is also a library where can be found specialized document, data from researches, books.
Some of the most interesting specimens of the flora, which can be seen in the museum, are the golden eagle, blue crow, vulture, veiled owl, black stork, peregrine, feral pig, dormouse, roe deer, otter, marten, fox, wolf, turtles, etc. and from the flora - orchids, red Debelets (Sempervivum erythraeum), purple cornflower, stefchovata sedum (Sedum stefco), Tomasiniev crocus, Serbian ramonda, Bulgarian, erantis and others.
