Yambol History Museum

The History Museum in Yambol is a successor of the created over the years museum collections. The first collection dates back to 1886 and was revealed in the town school. The museum was officially opened on 2.VІ.1953, as a "Museum of the revolutionary movement".

Nowadays the historical museum of Yambol has over 90,000 exhibits related with region of Yambol and divided into sections: Archeology (funds "Prehistory", "Antiquity" "Middle Ages" and "Numismatics"), Bulgarian land XV-XIX c. (Funds "Renaissance" and "Ethnography"), "Modern and Contemporary History".

Yambol Historical Museum is included in the list of The 100 National Tourist Sites of Bulgaria.
