Plum Festival (April and September)

Troyan region is well-known for its traditions in cultivation of plums and production of high quality plum rakia (brandy). As result, each autumn in Troyan is held a Plum Festival. Its main purpose is to attract and to give possibilities to the local people and producers to show their domestic products - food, drinks, and all objects related with (or made from) plums.

The Plum Festival 2012 is the 20th consecutive event in Troyan. Unlike other years, when it continued 2 days, in 2012 the Festival has a new program and lasts 9 days. Over the years, this feast has become one of the most visited such festivals in Bulgaria.
