Aviation museum

The Museum of Aviation and the military glory in Krumovo (Plovdiv district) is a branch of the National Museum of Military History in Sofia. It was created September 21, 1991. The museum has indoor and outdoor exhibition area.

The indoor part consists of two halls. In the first are exhibited objects related with the history of aviation in Bulgaria - documents about the first demonstration flights in Bulgaria, about the pioneers of Bulgarian aviation science, documents about the first bomber and reconnaissance flights of Bulgarian Aviation, information about the first Bulgarian aircraft, the Soviet aviation equipment in Bulgarian army after 1945, etc.

In the other room is housed the exposition "Cosmonautics". There is shown participation of Bulgaria as a member of the International Space Association in various scientific space developments (devices and special food for astronauts).

In the external area, chronologically are exposed airplanes and helicopters used in military, transport, sport and agricultural aviation of Bulgaria. There are exposed also radars, mobile SKP, rocket launchers and more, which were weapons in the Bulgarian Air Force.
