Antique Forum Augusta Trayana

The Antique Forum of Augusta Trayana is situated in the very centre of Stara Zagora, behind the Palace of Justice and the Old Theatre. It is one of the most monumental facilities built in the Antique Roman city of Ulpia Augusta Trayana.

The Antique Forum Complex includes: the western gate of Augusta Traiana, parts of two walls of the ancient and medieval town, the square with its preserved pedestal for statue of the imperial horse, the theater auditorium, one of the main streets of the ancient city and the south facade of the city baths.

Nowadays there was built a platform for spectators and the Forum is used as stage for different events as opera, theater and ballet.
