The Roman Odeon is an Ancient Theatre built during the II - V centuries. It was with capacity of 350 seats for the spectators and was smaller comparing with the other ancient theatre of Philippopolis. In the beginning the building was erected for a bulevterion (headquarter of the city assembly) and later was reconstructed and adapted as covered theatrical building.
The site was restored in 2003 with the financial support of the Leventis Foundation.
