About 2 km. southwest village of Asparuhovo (municipality Mekovets) on both sides of the lake are found remains of a Thracian settlement. In the area were found many findings - late Roman pottery, Roman copper and bronze coins from the II-IV century.
3 km west of the village, at height over the village Staliyska makhala is situated the "Bagachina" area where was found a Thracian cult center. Here, in the Copper Age, was created a settlement that has occurred for a millennia. There are also traces of Roman Impery.
About 0.5 km in the northeast of the village, direction village of Rasovo, were found traces of settlement existed in the IV century
