On May 1, 2015 in Varna, officially opened an unique for Bulgaria "Retro Museum". Its founder is the businessman Tsvetan Atanasov. The museum exposition is located on 4000 sq.m. in Grand Mall Varna (1st parking level) and includes exhibits from the time of socialism in Bulgaria (1945-1989).
Among the most interesting artefacts are the collection of over 50 cars from this period with brands "Volga", "Moskvich", "Skoda", "Trabant", etc., - all unimpeachable restored. Next to them are exposed popular motorcycles as "Simson" and "Balkan". The star of the retro Museum is the classic "Chaika GAZ-13" limo on which ride the members of Politburo of the Communist Party.
Visitors can see also: Bulgarian cigarettes without filter, Russian vacuum cleaners, household goods from the East Germany, Polish cosmetics, radios, televisions and other appliances manufactured in the former Comecon.
Many of the exhibits are a gift from the people across the country who have sent medals, badges and even - unopened fish cans. The collection of objects continues.
The museum also has wax figures of symbolic figures of the socialism - Todor Zhivkov, Leonid Brezhnev, Fidel Castro and others.
The Retro Museum in Varna will be open for visitors with the working time of the mall - every day from 10 to 22.00.
