In 2014 in the village of Neofit Rilski (Varna District) was open a historical outdoor museum called "Ancient Village". It is the first part of the complex "Historical Park", which is planned to be built on an area of 130 acres between Varna villages of Vetrino and Neofit Rilski. The complex will recreate pieces of the story in Bulgarian lands from 8000 BC to the fall of Bulgaria under Ottoman rule in 1396.
The project is worth 50 mln. euro and the ambition of its investors is the complext to be completed in 2019 and to become the largest in Europe historical complex of this type.
At the territory of the museum "Ancient Village" Village Neofit Rilski can be seen: a Neolithic house, an ancient ceramic workshop and ceramic objects, a Chalkolithic pile house and a Thracian museum, where are exposed replicas of golden treasures found in our lands, battle bronze weapons, model of ship of the Thracian king Rhesus and model of the Alexandrovska tomb with replicas of its frescoes.
Visitors can also draw a bow, to wear a Thracian (or Neolithic and Chalcolithic) armour and weapons and to try a food made from spelled - an ancient wheat, which was the main food of the Thracians.
The entrance in museum for children under 18 years is free of charge and in the ticket price for adults (currently 5.00 levs) is included a guide at Bulgarian language.
Working time of Historic Complex "Ancient Village" in the village of Neofit Rilski is from 9:00 to 19:00 during the days from Tuesday to Sunday (Monday is not working day)
