Emilyan Stanev house-museum is located in old part of Veliko Tarnovo, near the the ethnographic complex Samovodska charshia. Emilyan Stanev (real name Nikola Stoyanov Stanev) is a popular Bulgarian writer born in 1907 in town of Tarnovo. He died in 1979.
The museum was built on the place where the writer was born and lived until 1922. The original building is not preserved. The museum complex comprises of two buildings situated opposite one to other (the museum and the archive building, where are stored archive of Emilian Stanev).
