On June 5th, 2015, in the town of Kazanlak was opened first in Bulgaria museum of photography and contemporary visual arts. The museum is housed in building, part of the Historical Museum "Iskra".
In the museum are shown artifacts from the beginning of the photographic life in Kazanlak region - glass plates from the XIX-th and the beginning of the XX-th century, old cameras, photos from the archives of Peter Aranudov, and others.
The museum will maintain a permanent gallery, with works of masters of photography from different times, as well as works from well-know photo contests in Kzanalak - "The man near me", the photographic workshop "The Valley of Roses" and the Art - Multimedia Festival.
