Ticha fortress

The remains of Ticha fortress are located near the village of Ticha, around 9 km north of town of Kotel. It was built on the bank of Cherna river (a tributary of Kamchia River).
The castle was built in XII - XIV century on the remains of a late antique fortress. Its wall were followed the relief of the terrain and the hills around. The surrounded area was about 4000 m2. The shape of the castle was an irregular geometric figure.
It is assumed that the fortress was destroyed in the XV century.
