History museum
Historical museum in Zafirovo village was established in 1987 on the initiative of the local community center. There are exhibits related to some of the most important historic events in the region.
The museum is housed in a one-storey building with 4 exhibition halls.
- The first room displays primitive tools, a map of Roman provinces and the Roman road along the Danube river, remains of a Thracian mound near village of Sokol.
- In the second room are exhibited wooden tools, pottery, traditional patterns, pillowslips, men`s and women`s folk costumes, etc.
- In the third hall there are shown written documents about important events dating from the time of Ottoman Rule.
- The last (largest) hall contains mostly photos of the life of the local people up to 1985.
