Ancient Town of "Koriten" and fortress "Ritlite"

The remains of the ancient and medieval city "Koriten" are located a half kilometer northwestern of village Lyutibrod, close to the natural phenomenon Ritlite, where in the past was situated a fortress "Ritlite".

The fortress has natural protection from the inaccessible rock formations that protect it from the east and the west. They were from 3 to 7 meters thin and between 200 and 400 meters long. From the south wall are visible only parts of its foundations. From the northern wall are visible remains of the fortress wall, build by stones and cemented with white mortar, with a thickness of 2.80 m. 

Northeast of the fortress was located Koriten town that occupied an area of about 40 acres. In the past there was a prehistoric, ancient and medieval village. In the region, were found remains of four churches from different periods - cathedral basilica from the V century, partially preserved church of X-XI century and two from the Middle Ages.
