In Bulgarian: Тракийска Шарапана »
This sharapan (from Turkish - sharap - wine) is located south of the village of Bryastovo. It represents two carved in the stone tanks with a sloping floor and a chute between them. It is suggested tha "sharapanas" date back to 700-800 years BC and were used for processing of grapes and producing of wine. They are associated with the cult to the god Dionysus. According to another theory, these facilities have served in the mining sector for processing of the crushed ore with water.
