The oldest soldier memorial in Bulgaria
At small hill in the western part of village of Aldomirovtsi is located the oldest Soldier monument in Bulgaria. The monument was build in the period 1885 - 1891 year by residents of Preslav, led by Captain Dikov, in honor of soldiers and officers from Razgrad and Preslav regiments who died for Bulgaria in Serbo-Bulgarian war.
In the mounds are buried the bones of Bulgarian and Serbian soldiers. In specially constructed niche below the pedestal are placed the bones of lieutenants Alexander Papanchev and Peter Kochev.
The monument was designed by engineer Velchev and made by the master Grigor Naydenov. It has a shape of truncated pyramid and all of its sides are engraved:
On the front side: 7th November 1885 - Slivnitsa
On the west side: 7-foot and Preslav Regiment
On the north side: lieutenant Alexander Papancheva, lieutenant Petr Kochev. Eternal your memory unforgettable comrades
