The Monument to the Soviet Army in Sofia was built in 1954. It represents a soldier from the Soviet Army, surrounded by a local woman and a man. There are other, secondary sculptural compositions part of the memorial complex around the main monument.
The monument is is located in а small park on Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard, near Orlov Most bridge and the Sofia University. The place is very popular as meeting point among the teens and young people.
