Every summer (usually in beginning of August) in Popina village is held a celebration "Day of the Danube river". The event is associated with lots of joy and organized traditional games, preserved from the past - picking up a live pig, walking on greased wooden beam above the water and others. There is also a traditional swimming across the Danube river.
