The citizen of Kalofer have an own unique tradition of Epiphany (Yordanov Day - January 6). On this day, before the traditional bringing out of a cross from the river, group of men, dressed in national costumes and waving national flags, enter into the cold waters of Tunja river and play so called "Ice ring-dance" to the accompaniment of drums.
