Museum of Ceramics
Village of Busintsi is well-known for centuries with its ceramics. During the Bulgarian Renaissance, the local Businska school reached its zenith, and in the village almost every house had rolled pottery wheels (over 300). In Busentsi was located also the first Bulgarian school in ceramics.
In the village was established a Museum of Busintsi Pottery, showing the works of local artists and crafts, specific for the Businskata school. The museum is located in a building dating to 1982. Here the visitors can see objects made in early XIX century, to monitor how the local pottery tradition has evolved to contemporary art.
Alongside the exhibition halls there are workshops and small hotel, which allows the base to be used for meetings of artists-ceramists and craftsmen and conducting various national and international workshops related to ceramics.
