Thracian mound necropolis in Propada area

The Thracian necropolis in Propada area is situated 3 km northwest of the town of Malko Turnovo. It is an excellent example of Thracian cult architecture. The complex combines 4 different types of tombs, which are dated back to the II – IV century AD. The architecture of the entire complex illustrates the transition from dolmen to tomb, the cultural relationship with the Mycenaean period and also the whole process of gradual development of the dolmen architecture into tomb one.

Propada tomb was discovered in 1979.
