Thracian Sanctuary in Mishkova niva area
The Thracian Sanctuary in "Mishkova niva" area is most famous monument of the ancient Thracian culture in the region of Malko Tarnovo. It is located around 3km south-west of town of Malko Turnovo, very close to border with Turkey - after the border grid.
The complex dates from the V century BC and consists of a tomb, a temple with sacrificial bowls, a fortress and an ancient Roman necropolis, which proves the sacred character of the place for both - Romans and Thracians.
