Bojenishki Urvich is a medieval fortress located on high mountain hill near village Bojenitsa (region of Botevgrad). It was built in V and destroyed in XIV century. The citadel was accessible only from the north direction (were nowadays village of Bozhenitsa is situated).
Archaeological studies have found that the place was inhabited even in prehistoric times, but the first fortifications date from the V-VI century. Its bloom was during in XIII-XIV centuries, when the outer wall was built. Nowadays the walls are partially restored.
