"Feast of the Rose" is held annually the first weekend of June in the town of Kazanlak - the capital of the Rose Valley (at the same time there is a similar celebration in the town of Karlovo). The event dates back to 1903 and then it was called "Feast of beauty and charity."
"The Feast of Roses" is very beautiful and colorful and attracts visitors from Bulgaria and abroad. It is opened officially by the “King Sevt” and “Queen Rose” and ends with a carnival parade down the streets of the town. Usually, in the evening, at the "Seuthopolis" square, is held coronation ceremony "Queen of Rose" for the most beautiful girl at the festival.
