The International Puppet Theatre Festival Yan Bibian and the International Theatre Laboratory Yan Bibian are held annually in late of May in Silistra. During the festival program groups from different countries performed for the kids. The theatrical laboratory is for the artists and cultural who discuss issues related to the theater and show their creative experiments.
In the 2010 the festival was skipped because the global financial crisis and the impossibility of municipality of Silistra to finance the event.
