The Laslo Nagi Museum is located in town of Smolyan in quarter of Raykovo. It is housed in "Gyordjevata house" - a building from XIX century, declared for monument of the Rhodopean architecture.
The museum is devoted to Laslo Nagi (1925-1978) - a prominent Hungarian poet, publicist, translator of Bulgarian folk songs and poetry, artist, winner of the International Botev Award (1976), honorary citizen of Smolyan (1976). The Great merit of Laslo Nagy to Bulgaria is the fact he made Bulgarian songs and Bulgarian poetry available to Hungarians.
Laslo Nagi Museum occupies an area of 200 square meters. There are exhibited manuscripts of the poet, translations, drawings, personal belongings and photos. The museum has also a conference hall (50 seats) and a projection booth.
