The "Singing" monument of general Ivan Kolev in the city of Dobrich is one of the newest sights of the city.
General Kolev is the leader of the Bulgarian cavalry during the freedom of Dobrich from the Romanian occupation (1916).
The innovative statue is a work of the sculptor Alexander Haytov who is also the author of another widely discussed monument - this in Sofia of the King Samuel, whose eyes are glowing.
The monument depicts Gen. Ivan Kolev at horse. When somebody standing front of it from the monument starts to sound of the old hymn "Shumi Maritsa".
The statue is made at the foundry in Trebich and was officially opened on September 7, 2016-th.
