Medieval church "St. Cosma and Damian"

600 meters south of the village Murvodol, in the "Izvora" locality, are located the ruins of the medieval Bulgarian Orthodox Church "St. Cosma and Damian". It is assumed the church is dating from the second half of the XIV century.
The church is built on a steep slope descending to the small river. The building was with dimensions 6,75 × 4,50 meters, but currently is almost destroyed. The walls are preserved to a height of 1.30 meters from the level of the cap and the best preserved is the apse.
The church is named after St. Kosma and Damian.
In 1972 the church "St. Cosmas and Damian" near Murvodol was declared an architectural and artistic monument of national importance.
