The Church of the Holy Virgin in village of Batkun (nowadays district of Paletnitsa village) was built in 1892, on the foundations of an old chapel.
The church has one nave and is high (not dug into the ground because it was built after the Liberation, unlike the other Paletnitsa church - the Assumption of Mary). It has also a balcony in its west part. The church iconostasis is wooden, without carvings, with two rows of icons painted mainly in the late XIX century.
