Holy Forty Martyrs church ("Sv. Chetirideset machenitsi") in Veliko Tarnovo is a medieval Eastern Orthodox church. It was built in 1230.
The church is an elongated six-columned basilica and has three semicircular apses and a narrow narthex from the west. Another building was added later to the west side of the church.
In the Holy Forty Martyrs church are kept some of the most significant historical records of the Bulgarian state as Omurtag`s Column, Asen`s Column and the Border Column from Rodosto from the rule of Khan Krum.
