Church "Uspenie Bogorodichno" ("Assumption of the Virgin") in village of Karpelevo was built in the 40s of XIX century. The building has a large pseudo-basilica, dug into the ground.
The church has no murals, but its iconostasis and the wooden ceilings have high artistic value.
Church in Karpelevo declared a cultural monument.
