Church of Saint Martyr Mina in Kyustendil was built in 1934 adjacent to the former Renaissance church of St. Mina. This is one of the most representative churches in Bulgaria that impress with its architecture.
The building has two floors and is decorated with cornices and facade ornaments. There are two high domes with many window-type niches. The Iconostasis is made by Costa, Peter and Evtim Filipovi and the icons on it together with the murals are works of an artist from Sofia - Apostol Hristov Frachkov. The Bishopric throne is a gift from the officers from the 13th Infantry Rila Regiment and is a carved throne, whose side restraints are placed on squatting lion bodies. Except it there is also a King throne, which is also richly decorated with figures of birds and animals.
The Bell-tower of the temple is 11 meters high and is tetragonal in its lower and octagonal in the higher part. It was built in period 1902-1904 by the master Ivancho Todorov.
The church has also a small chapel with "sacred spring" (ayazmo) for is thought to be "holy" and its water heals diseases.
