Thracian Sanctuary - Chuchul Summit
This Thracian sanctuary was situated on the highest part of the summit Chuchul (1379 m) in the Balkan Mountains, near today Troyan Pass - east of Beklemeto. At the very top there are 2 platforms. The first covers 80% of the summit and has the shape of a semi-arc. In its southern section, it is 45 meters long and 12 meters wide. The second is located 15 meters away from the first. It has an inclination of 5 meters shape of a circle with a diameter of 10 meters.
In archaeological studies there were found remains of pottery, which have been used for ritual applications. The Artifacts (pottery, coins and iron objects) can be dated to the IV century BC. Two silver antonians form III century AC, as well as a Turkish silver coin from the Late Middle Ages have also been discovered there.
