The church "St.George" in Sofia's quarter of Darvenitza is located near Darvenishka river and the pedestrian exit to Mladost 1 quarter.
From the inscriptions on the south paintings and the list with donors is clear that the temple was built in XIX century. Presumably, that it was erected on the site of an old church or an ancient consecrated place.
The church was built by the famous at that time builder George Dzhongar from village of Tresoncha - Macedonia. The church has a one nave without domes and bell tower, similar to several other buildings of same builder.
