The "Church of St. Paraskeva" in town of Troyan was built in 1835 over the ruins of other chapel, called also "St. Petka".
In 1877 the church was burned, and after the liberation of Bulgaria from Turkish youke it was restored with voluntary contributions and grants from the Troyan Monastery.
The church is functioning nowadays and is declared a monument of culture and architecture.
The church feast (and a officila holiday of Troyan municipality) is 14 October - the day of St. Petka - Paraskeva, patroness of Troyan.
