The memorial was erected near the Roman bridge in the area of Dospat gorge, between the villages of Brashten and Tsrancha. Here, on July 1, 1953 the frontier guards Vergil Vaklinov and Trayko Stamenov with the dog named Vihar join to colleagues from neighboring border stands chasing a group of 4 saboteurs.
