The Monastery "Pokrov bogorodichen" is located about 3km. west of Aydemir towards Ruse. It was built in 1996 and its walls were painted in October 2001 by 4 students. The Iconostasis include both - the traditional Christian saints and portraits of 12 local Durostorum saints (there are kept relics of one of them - St. Theziy).
Unique for the Aydemir monastery is also the collection of glass vessel from around the world - different sized glass bottles with beautifully crafted crucifixes inside.
