The Museum of Mineralogy, Petrology and Mineral Resources in Sofia is the oldest museum in Bulgaria. From 1953 it is located in the building of Sofia University, on the floorage of 800m2. There are exhibited around 16200 samples in 7 expositions: "Taxonomy", "Petrography", "Mineral Resources", "Crystallography", "Regional Mineralogy", "Genetic Mineralogy - Individuals and Aggregates" and "Memorial Collections".
