Pamporovo ski resort, Rhodopes mountain

The ski-resort of Pamporovo is situated 10km north of Smolyan and south of Chepelare, in the foot of peak Snejanka (1926 m, Rhodopes Mountain) at 1650 m above sea level. It is Bulgaria sunniest ski-resort and the number of the sunny days during the season from December to May is around 120.

Pamporovo has ski-facilities for all categories of skiers as excellent ski runs (including even a racing ski run for giant slalom) and first class built-up ski lift system. There is a ski-school of international category too, with more than 100 highly qualified instructors.

Pamorovo ski resort is equipped with a track with lighting for night skiing stretching between Snezhanka and Studenets and with a new system for artificial snow. The tracks have been updated and expanded as part of preparations for hosting a round of the European Cup for men in 2012.
