The town of Chepelare lies at 1150 m above sea level, 75 km south of Plovdiv and 10 km North of the Ski-resort Pamporovo. With its conditions for ski sport and the large number of hotels, the town is perfect place for a family vacation at reasonable prices.
Chepelare has the longest ski run in the region (Mechi chal, 5200 m) with a double seat chair-lift and ski & snowboard school. The ski lift is situated south-west from the town, close to road to Pamporovo and is easy accessible also by foot.
