The Church "Prophet Elijah" in Bojentsi was built in 1835. It has three naves, with massive stone walls, arches and domes, hidden under the sloping roof.
One of the peculiarities of the church in Bozhentsi is its slightly inclined floor front of the altar, decorated with wooden iconostasis.
Other interesting fact is that the inhabitants of Bojentsi received permission to build a bell-tower, which has been banned for the Christian religious temples during the Ottoman rule. The bell was delivered from the Russian city of Tula.
