Bratanova cave is located in the area named "Trite dereta" ("The three gullies") within the borders of nature reserve Vitanovo in Strandzha mountain. It issituated about 9 km northwest of town of Malko Turnovo and is the largest in the region of Strandja mountain. The name of the cave comes from the Turkish word "bratan" wich means "branch".

In cave galleries were found treasure from the IV century BC. containing coins of Philip II, Alexander the Macedonian and Apollonia as well as a bronze bracelet with snakes figures.

Bratanova cave has an archaeological value and in 1981 was declared a landmark.
