Irakli beach
Irakli beach is situated 4 km from village of Banya between black sea towns and resorts of Obzor (north) and Nessebur (south).
Irakli is one of the last "wild" beaches on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast where you can find amazing nature, clean water and beautiful beach rocks. The bay has a large beach stripe (more than 3 km), which reaches to Cape Emine. There is almost no infrastructure in the area.
The place is visited mainly by young people, who ignore the lack of comfort and enjoy their contact with wild nature. There are lot of tents and whole families live there from June to September.
Irakli is included in the list of Protected Areas. The purpose is to preserve the typical coastal habitats of rare and endangered floral species, as well as lots of birds.
The near by beach of Irakli was situated ancient village with the same name inhabited in ancient times by Greek settlers who later left it and settled to live with the Bulgarians in Obzor.
