"Stambolov bridge" in Veliko Turnovo is built over the Yantra River and is named after the prominent Bulgarian statesman Stefan Stambolov, which is one of the initiators of its construction.
The bridge is leading to the river-peninsula Boruna, where the monument of the Assens, "Boris Denev" Art Gallery, and other landmarks are located. Currently the bridge is completely pedestrian and very often there are many tourists with cameras, who are sealing the beautiful views of the city`s emblematic houses situated as amphitheatre.
